Process

Our clients want creativity, but they also want certainty.

From briefing to handover, we offer you absolute clarity about what to expect, what decisions need to be made and by when, and any design and cost implications.

Fully aligned with the RIBA 2020 Plan of Work, our six stage process makes it easy to co-ordinate with architects and other consultants as needed. The key stages are summarised below. A fully detailed schedule of services and fees is provided at briefing stage, or on request.

Listening and understanding is at the heart of our approach. Every garden we design is a bespoke response not just to the functional aspects of a brief, but to the way you want a space to make you feel. Our early stage conversations help us get to know you - how you like to live and what makes you tick.

We will speak to other consultants if needed, and visit the site to assess conditions, light, views and any constraints or opportunities that might inform our response. We then collate all of that into a written brief, which once agreed, provides a reference point for the duration of the project.
